UW-Stout begins accepting applications on Sept. 15th of each year for the following fall and March 15th of each year for the following spring.

Obtain a University of Wisconsin System Application for Admission from your high school guidance counselor or go online the fall of your senior year.

Complete the application and return it to your counselor along with a $35 check or money order made payable to UW-Stout. This is a non-refundable application fee.

Your guidance counselor will send your application, $35 application fee, and an official copy of your high school transcripts to the Admissions Office.

If you apply online, you can pay the $35 fee with a credit card online at the time you submit your application or you can send a check. You will print off a sheet to give to your guidance counselor to have them mail an official copy of your high school transcripts.

You will also need to have your ACT scores sent. When you register to take the ACT or SAT, simply list UW-Stout (4652) as one of the schools you want your test scores sent to. They will then automatically be sent to us. If you did not list UW-Stout as one of your schools, please send a copy of your student report.

Upon receipt of the complete application materials, the review process will begin. This process may take up to four weeks. You will then receive a decision letter regarding the status of your application.

You can track the application process online through Access Stout. Once your application has been received, you will receive a confirmation letter on how to obtain information regarding your admission and enrollment to the university. You will also be given instructions on how to set up your email. Refer to http://tis.uwstout.edu/hd/FAQ/new_email_users.asp.
